BMW has unveiled its M1 Homage Concept and there is nothing to rave on about. The car is ascetically challenged as it attempts to blend retro and modern visual elements. The thin headlights and BMW’s icon grill does not do the car any justice and from front on the car just looks out of proportion. The only good thing that can be said about the car is that its an improvement from the previous M1’s.

The Radio-controlled Projection Clock by Oregon Scientific allows you to project the time and weather to anywhere you want, floor, ceiling or wall. The cool thing is that it allows you to choose whether you want to see it in analogue or digital format.

One of the best albums out this year. Eddie Vedder tells a young man’s story on a soundtrack to Sean Penn’s Into the Wild.

It’s fitting that Eddie Vedder’s first full-length solo album tells the story of another man’s solo journey. Described by Rolling Stones as ‘…..weighty baritone onto earthy, folky tracks that temper the romance of absolute freedom with an eerie foreboding.’

Into the Wild is based on a true story about Christopher McCandless. He was in his twenties when he shunned society and ventured off (with few supplies and even fewer survival skills), but his live-off-the-land dream turned into every parent’s nightmare when he was found dead several months later.

Vedder plantive voice and soulful lyrics take us through this journey of freedom and teaches us the dangers of nature as well as the danger of wanting more than you have or need. Eddie Vedder has also raillied against materialism and greed and instead of running into the wild to prove his point. He has chosen music to get his message across.
